Think about the time and energy wasted when we misinterpret one another’s actions. Remote work has aggravated miscommunication. Imagine what we could accomplish together if we invested in trying to understand each other better. The 7 Forms of Respect® can help you articulate how you want to receive respect and determine how others want to be shown respect. It can help your team and your organization as a whole determine how you collectively express respect.

What’s the history of the 7 Forms of Respect?
Dr. Julie Pham developed this framework when she observed how people have different expectations around how to express respect. As a doctoral candidate, she lived in five different countries and adapted to cultural norms. These differences were especially pronounced in her community organizing work, when people came together to collaborate to support a shared vision. The more diverse the group, the more they had different opinions on respect.learn more about us
